I stumbled onto this site via FaceBook. I joined the 149th, Company A in 1976 as prior service navy and left the guard in 1986 or so from the 1401st Engineer's at Camp Roberts. Also did a couple of years in the USAR at Fort Ord 13th Engineers Delta Company. Most of my time was with A Company though. This is a fantastic site and thank you for having it for us old folks to visit. I'm 66 years old and retired from the federal government and looking back at my guard years I wish that I would have stayed for 20. BTW--those of you that knew me in the old days---I beat my alcohol problem in 1982.

Hey all, nice memories loved the photos. I'm so glad that everyone is staying together. A lot of good soldiers have left our ranks but they will forever live on with the Men of Steel. Say has anyone heard from CPT Osuna it's been many years since I've seen my friend. Some one let him know that I'm trying to locate him. Stay in touch all.

Aloha, It is good to see that 149th armor has a web site. I was going through my old stuff and looked at old orders with peoples names and dates. It brought back many memories from the past. I can recall sitting on range at FHL or Camp Robert. My memories of patrolling the streets with B/1-149 during the L.A riots of 92 is forever. The best memories will be the people, events and adventures that we shared years ago.
